“JJ Limited Series” Jaguar XK120 Coupé & Roadster set
An idea came up a while ago. I thought that my good friend Jono and me should have a special series of models made - just for the two of us. They are all going to be mounted on special bases designed by us and in each instance, there will only ever be two of each made.
We told Laurent Tay and finally the first set has now been completed and it certainly exceeded our expectations.
The excellent shape of the AMR XK120 Jaguars really improved this first effort.

An old Tameo kit was the origin of this excellent built by my friend Laurent Tay The Ferrari 275GTB/C Sperimentale 1965 is a fantastic car.
Using LePhoenix wheels and making a lot of modifications, Laurent managed to create a really beautiful one-off model.
I am a civil engineer from Athens, Greece, and I used to be into modeling back in the 1960’s, when I was a teenager. Static models, as well as R/C models, were from time to time the topics of my hobby & interests.
My model car collection started rather late in my life. Everything began in 2001, after a heart attack. I stopped smoking and decided instead to spend my money on model cars. I must admit that collecting model cars is a much more expensive hobby than smoking!
Heco Miniatures 1/43 scale Bugattis and Exoto diecasts were my first scheduled purchases. Yellow Ferraris came later and then everything else that challenged my own tastes. All the models in my collection are now either ‘factory’ hand built, or exclusively custom built to my own specifications.
An important thing I would like to mention, is the fact that I had the chance to get to know and communicate with many interesting people; sellers, dealers, master builders, fellow collectors, etc. Like Johann Stegny from Autoshow, Mike McCormick from MiniWerks, Laurent Tay from Garage43, Alberto Peretto from Aostamodel, Pierre Fabrègues from GT1 Factory, Alex Kustov from Italian Horses and fellow collector, Jono (the.x.man 1:43), just to mention a few.
Hospitality to others in this hobby is a principle for this site, so I will be glad to welcome photographs and announcements for other collections or hobbies — just let me know.
I am also grateful to my friend, Jono, who designed and constructed this site.
I hope you enjoy looking through my collection.
